Hidden treasures along the Chao Phraya River

Escape the vibrant Bangkok’s city center to the calming Chao Phraya river to discover hidden treasures of this charming riverside area.
Make the first stop at Talad Noi and explore this historic Chinese community on foot through its wiring alleys repleted with street arts. Talad Noi is known for its unique cafés like the renowned Café Mother Roaster, perfect for a short break with freshly-brewed coffee and bakery after a city tour.
Also famous for its historic buildings, Talad Noi is home to So Heng Tai Mansion, the 19th-century Hokkien-style house which is now turned into a diving school and can accommodate both a house tour and a fun team-building activity, and Hong Sieng Kong, a beautifully restored compound of 6 heritage buildings which is now exhibiting antiques and can simultaneously be a place for casual dining and an event venue.
Only 10 minutes ride from Talad Noi, Bangkok’s largest wholesale flower market, Pak Klong Flower Market is there to freshen up visitors with blooming flowers. Walk through this lovely market to see iconic and meaningful flowers in Thai culture and bustling businesses of preparing and delivering flowers across Bangkok. On the other side of the Chao Phraya river lies a fascinating community, Kudi Chin, where Thais, Chinese, Christians, Muslims, and Buddhists have been living together harmoniously regardless of their racial and religious differences for more than 200 years. Take a walk through this community to be amazed by its distinctive architecture mostly influenced by Portuguese settlers.
